April 15, 1952. ' The City Councl of the City of Newport Beach met in the i Council chambers of the ity Hall at the hour of 7:30 P.M., to can- vass the returns of the regular municipal election held on April 8th, 1952, and to install the newly elected officers. 11 1 I� u The roll was called, the following membdrs answering present: Finch, Ramsey, Blue, Greeley, Isbell. Following the canvass of the vote, Resolution No. 3962, being a resolution declaring the results of the municipal election held in the City of Newport Beach on April 8th, 1952, declaring the whole number of votes cast in the City, the names of the persons voted for, the mea- sures voted upon, and the number of votes given in the City for each person and for and against each measure, was adopted on motion of Coun- cilman Finch, seconded by Councilman Blue and carried by the following roll call vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Finch, Ramsey, Blue, Greeley, Isbell NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None STATEMENT OF CITY CLERK I, C. Priest, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, in Orange County, California, do hereby certify and declare that a general municipal election was duly and regularly held in the City of Newport Beach on April 8th, 1952, and that the result of said election so held was as follows: 3026. Priest having been declared elected as City Clerk, and Mrs. Florence Cooling having been declared elected as City Treasurer, took their seats and were sworn in, in accordance with the law. The City Clerk, acting as Chairman Pro Tem, received the nomination of Andrew W. Smith for Mayor on motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Coun- cilman Horvath. The Clerk called for any further nominations and, no one re- sponding, nominations were declared closed.
