A letter from Regional Water Pollution Control Board #8, urging
elimination of odor nuisances in the West Newport Area was read, and on Water Pollution - odor
motion of Councilman Isbell, seconded by Councilman Miller and carried, in W. Npt.

The City Manager reported that a hearing would be held in Long

The Chief of Police reported that complaints had been received
regarding the operation of "The Nut House" in Balboa, and that it had been
notified that it was operating in violation of Section 6134 of the Municipal
Code. He recommended that the license collector be instructed not to renew
the concern's license on July 1st. On motion of Councilman Isbell, seconded
by Councilman Miller and carried, the Council found that the continued con-
duct of the.: business - %4ould, be'.in,juriouslto health and public safety in the
area in which it is located, and instructed the License Collector not to
renew the license.
On motion of Councilman Miller, seconded by Councilman Isbell
and carried, the meeting was adjourned, sine die.
