On motion of Councilman Horvath, seconded by Councilman Miller and carried, reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived, and they were approved as written. The regular monthly demands,having been signed and approved by the finance eommittee� were ordered paid upon motion of Councilman Miller , seconded by Councilman Horvath and carried by the following roll call vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Miller, Horvath, Smith, and Finch. NOES, COUNCILMEN. None ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Isbell The monthly report of receipts and distursements was ordered filed on motion of Councilman Finch, seconded by Councilman Miller and carried. After lengthy discussion from the floor, both for and against the fence, Councilman Finch moved that the fence be moved approximately 400 feet down the road toward the beach and-be joined to the Silze fence; that no barbed wire be used; that there be a sign erected; and that the question of electric lights on the beach be investigated. The motion-was seconded by Councilman Miller and lost by the following roll call vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Miller and Finch NOES; COUNCILMEN: Horvath and Smith ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Isbell a Letter urging re- moval of same. I. Gallcher Tract 919, severe in the amount of $2,632.25 was the low bid for the construction of deferred to a sanitary sewer in Block 1, Tract 919. He stated that 15 of the next meeting. 19 lots to share in the cost of the sewer had made cash deposits. Fri. Sept. 12th • On motion of Councilman Horvath, seconded by Councilman Miller, award of the contract was deferred to an adjourned meeting to be held on Friday, September 12th, 1952, at ten o'clock in the morning ' in order that the remaining lot owners might have an opportunity to make the necessary deposits. The Mayor called for comment on the question of support of the Chamber of Commerce and a prolonged discussion ensued.
