September 8th, 1952
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in regular
session in the council chambers of the City Hall at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
The roll was called, the following members answering present:
Miller, Horvath, Smith, and Finch, Councilman Isbell being absent.
On motion of Councilman Horvath, seconded by Councilman Miller
and carried, reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived,
and they were approved as written.
The regular monthly demands,having been signed and approved by
the finance eommittee� were ordered paid upon motion of Councilman Miller ,
seconded by Councilman Horvath and carried by the following roll call
vote, to -wit:

The monthly report of receipts and distursements was ordered

The City Engineer reported that the bid of J. I. Gallcher Tract 919, severe

the Chamber of Commerce and a prolonged discussion ensued. Council-
man Finch moved that the Chamber of Commerce be allowed $1,300
