Roll Call The roll was called, the following members answering present: Broering, Bennett, and Hilly Councilmen Smith and Miller being absent. Minute correction City Attorney Penney asked that the minutes of the meeting of May 10th, in reference to the so- called "Gordon" case be corrected to read: "City Attorney Penney asked for instructions from the Council in the pending appeal in the so- called "Gordon" case." Park, Beach & Recreation Commission recommendation that the Council take immediate steps to obtain matching land P. B. & R. Commission and acquire the properties known as Block C, Block A -34, and "Inspiration Point." 2. Newport Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Civic Affairs Chamber of Commerce Committee, recommendation that the Council take steps to carry Civic Affairs committee out presently approved plans for the establishment of state parks in Corona del Mar. 3. Petition bearing 20 signatures, most of them being Petition 20 signatures ocean front residents in Newport, urging that matching land be released to enable the State to acquire the Corona del Mar park property. 4.
