The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular session in the Council Chamber of the City Hall at the
hour of 7.30 P.M.

The application of William J. Fox for a permit to
build a seawall on the southerly property line of Lot 25,
Tract 1011 was granted on motion of Councilman Bennett,
seconded by Councilman Ridderhof and carried.
Councilman Broering moved that the City Attorney and
City Manager be instructed to investigate the possibility of
purchasing the Balboa Rendezvous for a civic auditorium.
Councilman Bennett suggested that a survey be made of the need
of such an auditorium. Councilman Broering°s motion was
seconded by Councilman Smith and carried.
On motion of Councilman Bennett, seconded by Council-
man Smith and carried, the Council adjourned until Wednesday
morning at 9000 A.M.
