The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in the Council Chamber Informal meeting
of the City Hall at the hour of 7:30_P.M., this being an informal meeting for proposed Budget
held for the purpose of discussion of the proposed budget for the fiscal discussion.

The roll was called the following members being present: Councilmen Roll Call.
Bennett, Wilder, MacKay, Stoddard, Higbie and Hill. Councilman Ridderhof
being absent.
COEMUNICATIONS.
' A letter from Andrew W. Smith recommending Nlorence Cooling for the Florence Cooling,

Resolution No. 4345, being a resolution naming Councilman Stoddard as Resolution No. 434
alternate to Mayor Hill on Sanitation Board No. 7, was adopted on motion naming C. Stoddard as
of Councilman Bennett, seconded by Councilman Higbie and carried by the alternate to Mayor on
following roll call vote, to wit: Sanitation Board No-7.
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Bennett, Wilder, MacKay, Stoddard, Higbie, Hill. Adopted.
NOES, COUNCILMENI None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Ridderhof.
Councilman MacKay recommended a reduction of 2 cents in the Park Tax, Proposed changes
