Vice Mayor Lorenz stated that the City offered for sale at this time two parcels of property, identified as Parcel H (being a portion of Lot 10, Subdivision of Block 227, Section - "A ", Newport Beach, located at 2807 Newport Boulevard, Zone C -1) and Parcel I (being a portion of Lots 8, 9 and.10, Subdivision of Block 227, Section "A ", I Newport Beach, located at 2625 Newport Boulevard, Zone C -1), in-accordance with the procedures established in Resolution No. 5753, declaring, certain real property to I be surplus, authorizing its.sale, and - setting out the-pro- cedure for its.sale. TO He publicly opened two sealed bids and announced that the , first bid was in the amount of $57, 500 for Parcel I, sub -` mitted by Realtor George Williamson for L. M. Duntley, and that a Cashiers Check in the amount of $5750 accom- panied said bid. Vice Mayor Lorenz announced that the second bid was, in the amount of $72, 500 for Parcel H, submitted by Realtor George Williamson for L. M. Dunt- ley, and that a Cashiers Check in the amount of $7250 accompanied ..said bid. Vice Mayor Lorenz asked for oral bids for Parcel H. There was no response. Vice Mayor Lorenz asked for oral bids for Parcel I. There was no response. The bids were rejected, and it was .directed that the Motion x checks be returned to the bidders. In. connection with an earlier request.to the City of New- port Beach by Dover Shores Community Association for an encroachment permit for a wall,. consideration was given to the Resolution of the Board -of Supervisors.of Orange County, adopted May, 21, approving: the.construc- tion-of a block wall along the northerly right- of -way ,line of North Star Lane which adjoins County, tidelands -lying northerly therefrom, provided that the encroachment permit is made conditional upon the following: (1) That the wall shall not interfere with reasonable access, to the County tidelands.from White Cliffs Drive; .(2) That the County, or its lessee, or successors,in title, shall have the right to, at any time, remove all or part of said wall for access to the County, tidelands.
