Mr. Garland stated CA that the Mayor's appointment of a committee to investigate 37 the problem was agreeable to his client. Mr. Garland pre- sented four additional petitions, similar to the original peti- tion aforementioned, alleging that approximately 75 addition- al signatures were on said petitions. Some of the Council members felt that if the particular problem was.the issuance of courtesy cards -for the Balboa Bay Club and the main issu at point, they would be willing to investigate the situation, but if the integrity of the Councilmen was the issue at point, they felt there was.no reason.to investigate the matter fur- ther.
