The City Attorney was . authorized to file ,a cross -compl
in the case entitled "Staler, Inc., v. Sully- Miller Con-
tracting Company, City, of Newport Beach, et al., "Sup4
for Court No. 111278, naming such parties defendants
therein as is necessary to protect the interests of the C
of Newport Beach.
The City Manager was directed to instruct the necessary
staff members in Public Works, and the City Attorney wa
also instructed, to act on behalf of Sanitation District
Board No. 5; the staff to pass on problems relating, to San
i'tatibn , District No. 5 as they affect the City of Newport
Beach.
The City Manager was instructed to accumulate all the
facts and figures which apparently are available relative
to the costs, the evaluations, the areas, the acreage, the
lineal feet, et cetera, regarding the proposed land trade
in the Upper 'Bay; to determine what, if anything, the
Planning Director and the Parks, Beaches and Recreatior
Director have to say generally regarding these proposals;
the City Manager to head the matter as far as the staff is
concerned; the purpose being to have comments from the
staff level and the Commission level,if the Commissions
feel they would like to make ,a comment.
