HEARINGS:
1. Mayor Hart opened the public hearing in accordance with

certain weeds are growing upon certain streets, side -

walks, parkways, and private property, in the City, of
Newport Beach and that the weeds are a public nuisance;
and which directed the-Street Superintendent to post
notices to destroy said weeds as required by law; and
fixed the time of hearing for objections and protests and
directed the abatement thereof in accordance with Chap-
ter 4 of Article VII of the'Newport Beach Municipal Code
