Whetmore enclosing maps of his proposed onmew7 "Plan I" and "Plan II" for the two Orange County ans Senatorial Districts, to be considered by the Legislature in connection with reapportionment in compliance with the Supreme Court edict, soliciting support for one of the two plans. Members of the Council were requested to inform the City Clerk on the following day which of the two plans each favored. Councilmen Stoddard and Forgit and. Mayor Gruber indicated a preference for Plan II, the other members of the Council wished to consider the matter j -66 further before making a selection. Consideration was given to the Preliminary Annual slim iget Budget for the Fiscal Year 1965 -66 as Presented by the '5 -66 City Manager: :y Clk 1. The City Clerk's Budget as proposed, was approved. Consideration was given to the Administrative t --i Ve Budget. The City Manager listed duties of the Inter- mediate Steno - Clerk: proposed to be added to his staff. The addition to the Administrative Budget bf a part - time Intermediate Steno -Clerk position; the addition of $35 to Account 0322 for maintenance of office equipment; the addition of $35 to Account 0390 for a posture chair; and an addition to Account 0394 of $135 Motion x for one table 38" x 7811, were approved. Consideration was given to the City Hall Budget, and Purchasing Agent Donald Means spoke from the audience regarding Communication Expense. The City Hall Budget was approved. 2-i ­k ng 8. The City Manager presented a proposed plan for transferring the Planning, the Building, and the City Attorney's offices to quarters across the street from the City Hall at an estimated additional first - year cost of approximately $8,414, the terms of the lease to be negotiated when and if the Council has C, °1_01 approved the recommendation.
