President James W. Peyton called the special meeting of
the Newport -Mesa Unified School District Board of
Education to order.
Roll Call: Board Members Present: Peyton

Mayor Marshall called the adjourned meeting of the City
Council of Newport Beach to order and called roll by intro -

duction of the Councilmen present.

Mayor Pinkley called the special meeting of the City
Council of Costa Mesa to order and called the roll by intro-
duction of Councilmen present.

William L. Cunningham, Superintendent of the Newport -
Mesa Unified School District, welcomed members of both
city councils and outlined the bond issue proposals to be
presented to the community by the Board of Education.
Costa Mesa Councilman George Tucker presented and read
in full Resolution No. 69 -3, a resolution of the City Council
of the City of Costa Mesa in support of the forthcoming
proposed school bond issue and urging a "Yes" vote at the
election on February 11, 1969.

On motion of Councilman Tucker, seconded by Councilman
St. Clair, Costa Mesa Resolution No. 69 -3 was adopted by
the following vote:

Absent: None
Councilman Rogers presented and read in full Resolution
No. 6923, a resolution of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach expressing concern about the shortage of
school class rooms and urging voters approval of school
bonds at the election February 11, 1969.
Resolution No. 6923 was adopted.
