purchase of a street striper machine.
The General Services - Traffic Signs and Markings Budget,

with the stipulation that before a Street Line Striper Paint
Machine was purchased, the possibility of sharing the City
of Costa Mesa's equipment was to be explored.

tain the present tax rate and also put additional monies in
the streets and .alleys Ca'p'ital Improvements Budget.
It was agreed that the staff be asked to be prepared to
discuss a utilities use tax at a later date.
It was the consensus of the Council that the staff would
have leeway to trade in the old Marine Safety boat for a
different skiff for ;he Harbor and Tidelands Adminis:
trator's use.

The Council accepted the City Manager's recommendations
to delete the Bulldozer from the General Services Budget
andithat an additional .'$48, 000:could be addecttoi the streets
and alleys Capital Improvements program.
