1497, were approved; and the staff was authorized
to obtain a proposal for final design of the improve-
ment from Shuirman- Simpson, Consulting Civil
Engineers. (A report from the Public Works
Director was presented. )
14. The plans and specifications for installation of

Furniture and Fixtures, PB &R Fund. (A report
from the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Director
was presented. )
BA -6, $30, 000 increase in Budget Appropriations
and decrease in Unappropriated Surplus to provide
for reimbursement to The Irvine Company for a
portion of the costs incurred in the improvement of
Upper Big Canyon Nature Park, from Unappropriated
Surplus to Upper Big Canyon Nature Park, Building
Excise Tax Fund.
BA -7, $5, 000 increase in Budget Appropriations and
decrease in Unappropriated Surplus for purchase of
the property westerly of the 16th Street Reservoir,
Water Fund.
BA -8, $1, 500 to and from Unappropriated Surplus,
Park & Recreation Fund, acceptance of $1, 500 from
Athalie R. Clarke and conveyance of $1, 500 to the
Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Association as
contribution toward furnishings of clubhouse at San
Joaquin Hills Park.
BA -9, $85, 970 increase in Budget Appropriations
and decrease in Unappropriated Surplus to provide
for Police Facility Control No. 1514 from Unappro-
priated Surplus to Construct Jamboree Road Police
Substation, Capital Improvement Fund.
