• Crime stats represent real crime
victim experiences.
• We think of our city with a
population of 87,000.
• We had 7.2 million visitors in 2017,
closer to 9 to 10 million in a good
economy.
• Are we best serving our property
owners?
• Are we listening to our residents?
• Are we addressing the persistent
issues?
• Are 2,244 violent and property
crimes against our residents
unacceptable?
• Should we set higher goals for
public safety?
• Have we allowed these crime and
incident rates to be normalized?
• What is the cost of not investing in
public safety?
• Is it fair to our residents who are
asking for more?
Our Police Department's
performance is extraordinary and
exceptional.
0 Two officer positions would
rebuild PD to 2010 staffing levels.
