Scope of Test Report
This report consists of an evaluation of the I Build Construction Aquatic Floors power safety cover to the
requirements of ASTM F1346, as required by NSF/ANSI 50. The following evaluations were performed:
• Physical evaluation of markings and literature
• Static load test (performed under J-00328559)
• Perimeter deflection test (performed under J-00328559)
• Surface drainage test (performed under J-00328559)
• Openings test (performed under J-00328559)
Sample Description
The I Build Construction Aquatic Floor is shown below in Figure 1. It is classified as a power safety cover per
section 4.1 of the referenced standard. The maximum covered area of the Aquatic floors safety cover is 10 feet
by 8 feet.

Static Load Test (performed under J-00328559)
Procedure

This test shall be conducted to demonstrate that the cover is capable of supporting a weight of (a) 485 Ibs
(composed of one 210-lb, one 225-lb, and one 50-lb weight) for a pool or spa with a width or diameter greater
than 8 ft or (b) 275 Ibs (composed of one 225-lb and one 50-lb weight) for a pool or a spa with a width or
diameter equal to or less than 8 ft, distributed over 1 ftz each, all of which are within a 3-ft radius without the
test objects causing damage which would allow any of the test objects to pass through the cover.
The pool shall be filled to its waterline and the cover fitted in accordance with the cover manufacturer's
instructions. The test objects shall be placed on the surface of the cover at the center point of the cover, and
between attachment points and a distance of at least 4 ft but not to exceed 6 ft from the side of the pool. The
test objects shall remain in each test position for a period of 5 min.

Procedure

Test the cover by spraying water evenly over the area at an application rate of 10 gpm per 1000 ft2 of pool area
for a period of 30 min. During this test, all equipment shall operate in accordance with cover manufacturer's
instructions. Thirty minutes after completion of this procedure, the cover shall pass the test method below.
Timmy or equivalent (32 in. length by 9 in. width by 5 in. deep by 36.6 Ibs. torso -shaped object) shall be placed
on the pool cover in a supine position, face up, within two to three feet of and parallel with the pool's edge.
Three minutes later there shall not be an unsafe amount of water. An unsafe amount of water is defined as any
quantity of water which completely covers the torso of the surface drainage test object.

Grounding and Bonding of pool structure located at the above mentioned address
NSF International verified the Grounding of the control panel as well as the Bonding of all assocated metal parts. It
was determined that the Grounding terminations and wire size were acceptable.
Refer to Appendix III for certificate of the bonding of the pool shell issued by the City of Newport Beach Building
Department.
An additional evaluation may be required if the grounding is modified before or after it is put into service.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND DEFINITIONS
RECOGNIZED COMPONENT- A component part, which has been previously evaluated by an accredited certification
body with restriction and must be evaluated as part of the basic product considering the restrictions as specified
by the conditions of acceptability.
LISTED - A component part, which has been previously evaluated by an accredited certification body with no
restrictions and is used in the intended application within its ratings.

All electrical components are secured in an appropriate manner.
WIRING CONNECTIONS:
All ground wiring is terminated and secured in an appropriate manner using suitable grounding lugs or
terminations.

connected with appropriate grounding terminals. Grounding continuity is provided by welding, machine screws,
or individual ground wires.
