Good Evening, I am Newport Beach resident and I oppose the 4 -Story TH Proposal. If I am not
too late, please take my opinion into consideration. I would like to keep our community homey
as long as possible please. We already have too many people in this small area.
Respectfully,
Anastasia Svoboda

I live around the corner from this proposed 4 story high rise. I also drive through this intersection to and
from work every weekday. I appose this 4 story high rise for the following reasons:
1. This intersection is incredibly busy and has had multiple accidents as well as a recent fatal accident a
few months ago. This intersection does not need a driveway that will have at a minimum 16 vehicles
coming and going from a driveway right at the intersection.
2. A four story building should never be built in a residential area. The 3 story that is currently being built
is a monstrosity and dwarfs the single level houses around it. The planning commission failed miserably
approving that build.
3. Please take into consideration the residents that will surround this giant building. Everyone needs to
think beyond the mighty dollar and how their decisions will affect the quality of life to their neighbors.
Would you want this building as your neighbor? I think not.
Thank you.

I am totally apposed to the development of this four story building in Eastside Costa Mesa/Newport
Beach.
There is too much mass building going on in Northern Newport Beach and it's going to become such
gridlock that it's ridiculous! Enough!!
Please block the Deveopment of these buildings!!

Subject: 4 story project on Mesa Drive must be stopped
We are experiencing an ever increasing number of cars and stack a shacks in our community.
This proposed building is not in the
best interest of this community. We are a neighborhood with charm, not a Philadelphia city,
which is what this will not only begin,
but would repeat itself all over our charming city to ruin it! Even where I reside, my street has
cars lined up to get to the highway
like it's Balboa Island on a weekend, I can't even back out of my drive way without waiting a
while. I have been here 41 years!
Over building and condensed apartments are not for this beach city and will bring nothing good
but for this one investor. Vote responsibly!
And that would be no! Please set an example and be for the community, not the outsider!

Subject: Mesa Drive Townhomes
Liz, I am unfortunately unable to attend tonight's meeting as I have schedule conflicts so please forward
this to the Council and this to the Agenda.
The four-story Mesa Drive Townhome complex would be a permanent scar on our neighborhood.
Eastside Costa Mesa as it is affectionately known which includes portions of Newport Beach west of
Irvine Avenue is a single and multi -family neighborhood with one and two story structures. There are no
deviations. Anywhere. The zoning on the other corners at this intersection prohibit any structures over
two stories. This intersection represents the northern gateway to Eastside and to fill it up with these
large incompatible masses of stucco and siding will forever be an aesthetic stain on the community and
potentially character altering forever. The City of NB approval process includes a provision for
compatibility and incredulously both staff and the planning commission found it compatible. It is my
sincere hope the Council gets this right and sends this project back for review and modification. Further,
the code itself for the previously annexed area is old County code and should go through a
neighborhood review process where input from the appropriate stakeholders is considered. I know this
area is a bit of an "outpost" for NB as most of the affected parties are residents of Costa Mesa but that
should not be viewed as an opportunity by developers to try to take advantage of an incongruent and
somewhat disorganized constituent base.

Subject: Opposition to Proposed Project
Dear Ms. Westmoreland,
I am writing to you to express my concern and opposition to the proposed eight unit four story project
is proposed to replace two single family homes at the corner of Mesa Drive/Santa Ana Avenue. I
think that this project would adversly impact the area and lead towards density that would adversely
impact the quality of life in our neighborhood.
Thank you for your consideration.
Warmest Regards,
Mike Lugo
