Building Dfflcial or his authorized representative may order the work stopped by notice in writing served on any

3. The stamped set of approved plans shall be on the job site at all times.
4. NOTIFICATION OF NONCOMPLIANCE If, in the course of fulfilling their responsibilities, the civil engineer,
surveyor, the soils engineer, the engineering geologist or the testing agent finds that the work is not being done
in conformance with the approved grading plans, the discrepancies shall be reported immediately in writing to
the person in charge of the grading work and to the Building Division. Recommendations for corrective
measures, if necessary, shall be submitted to the Building Division for approval.
5. When import or, export of materials is required, haul routes to and from the site shall be approved by the City
Traffic Engineer and hauling procedures shall be in accordance with Chapter 15 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code (NBMC). Contractor shall use Best Management Practices (BMP's) to insure that all water quality issues
are addressed.
6. Between October 1 and April 30, erosion control BMP measures shall be in place. During the remainder of the
year dry season wind erosion BMP's (dust control) shall be implemented. Sediment control BMP's shall be

ELEVATION CERTIFICATE
The purpose of this certificate is to insure that the structure is located properly on site per the approved
drawings. This certificate also verifies the top of slab/floor elevation noted on the approved drawings.
After the top of slab/floor elevation is verified to match the elevation specified on the approved
drawings, the contractor and inspector can measure the height of the structure to the top of slab/floor to
verify that it is equal or less than the dimension shown on building sections and elevations.
This form must be filled out by a registered surveyor or civil engineer authorized to perform surveys.
The survey must be done after the concrete forms are in place or preferable after the concrete slab is
poured or raised floor is built, but prior to starting wall framing.

How to Use
Surface Preparation Remove all deteriorated concrete, dirt, oil, grease, and all bond -inhibiting materials from
surface. Be sure repair area is not less than 1 in. in depth. Preparation work should be done
by high pressure water blast, scabbler, or other appropriate mechanical means to obtain an
exposed aggregate surface with a minimum surface profile of t1/8 in. (CSP -7-8). Saturate
surface with clean water. Substrate should be saturated surface dry (SSD) With no standing
water during application.
9 Reinforcing Steel: Steel reinforcement should be thoroughly prepared by mechanical cleaning
to remove all traces of rust. Where corrosion has occurred due to the presence of chlorides,
the steel should be high-pressure washed with clean water after mechanical cleaning. For
priming and protection of reinforcing steel use SikaaaArmate& 110 EpoCem (consult Techni-
cal Data Sheet).
Mixing Start mixing with 5.5 pints of water. An additional 0.5 pint can be added if needed. Do not
over water as excess water will cause segregation. Add Sikacretee 211 while continuing to
mix. Mix to a uniform consistency, maximum 3 minutes. Mechanically mix with a low -speed
drill (400-600 rpm) and paddle or in appropriate -size mortar mixer or concrete mixer.
Application Pre -wet surface to SSD(Saturated Surface Dry). Ensure good intimate contact with the sub-
strate is achieved. To accomplish this, material should be scrubbed into the substrate or other
suitable means should be employed such as vibration of the material or pumping under pres-
sure. Vibrate form while pouring or pumping. Pump with a variable pressure pump. Continue
pumping until a 3 to 5 psi Increase in normal line pressure is evident then STOP pumping.
Form should not deflect. Vent to be capped when steady flow is evident, and forms stripped
when appropriate.
Tooling and finishing As per ACI recommendations for portland cement concrete, curing is required. Moist cure
with wet burlap and polyethylene, a fine mist of water or a water based* compatible curing
compound. Curing compounds adversely affect the adhesion of following layers of mortar,
leveling mortar or protective coatings. Moist curing should commence immediately after

finishing. Protect newly applied material from direct sunlight, wind, rain and frost.
'Pretesting of curing compound is recommended.
Limitations a Application thickness: Minimum 1 in. (25 mm); Maximum 8 in. (200 mm). Thicker applia-
tions have been done successfully. Please consult Sika Technical Service.
