Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by Suzanne Portner, to establish a
personal improvement facility specializing in hair and beauty products and services. The property is
located in the SP-5 District (Mariners Mile Specific Plan Area).
Property located at: 120 Tustin Ave., Suite B
This project has been reviewed, and it has been determined that it is categorically exempt under the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act under Class 1, Existing Facilities.
Use Permit No. UP2001-001 is scheduled for review by the Planning Department of the City of Newport
Beach on or after Tuesday, January 30, 2001. Written comments or input related to the project should be
submitted to the Planning Department by Monday, January 29, 2001, in order to be considered in the
Planning Director's decision. If approved at the time of review, the appeal period of 14 days will begin
from that date, during which time any interested party or their authorized agent aggrieved of that decision
may file a notice of appeal to the Planning Commission with a filing fee of $714.00 to defray the cost of
the appeal procedure.
The application and development plans of the proposed project are available for public review and
inspection at the Planning Department, City of Newport Beach, 3300 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach,
California, 92659-1768. For further information contact the Newport Beach Planning Department at (949)
644-3200.
