PROJECT FACTS
Project Fact Sheet
Grant Howald Park Rehabilitation Project
Grant Howald Park is a 3.1 acre park that has been serving
the community since 1954 and a popular community
destination. The park rehabilitation project will beautify the
Fifth Avenue frontage, install a synthetic turf field system
with new teaming area and renovate the existing
playgrounds. On July 14, 2020, City Council awarded the
project contract to Environmental Construction, Inc.
IMPACTS
While most of Grant Howald Park will be closed during
construction, the tennis courts will remain open with parking
and access from Goldenrod Avenue. The Community
Youth Center (CYC) will continue to provide recreational
programming to the community. Iris Avenue will have
intermittent closures for deliveries and other construction
activities. Please exercise caution when driving or walking
through the construction zones.
