I have been a resident the Newport Harbor area since 1973. I have lived in Newport
Beach for the past 17 years. Ilaving been involved in real estate I know the area well.
I ride my bike around the Back Bay, take the ferry to the Peninsula and ride along the
boardwalk every weekend. In my travels I get a chance to view the city from a visitor's
perspective. When I see the "Bird Man" at McFadden Square, I see the delight of the
children and those that gather at the square.
We are members of the Visitors Bureau and Newport Chamber of Commerce. We
welcome many visitors to the city here on the Peninsula every year. I personally have a
strong interest in being involved the Newport Pier/McFadden Square business district.
I look forward being involved with the Economic Development Committee.
VerTjjuly Yours,
Craig W. Batley
