Louie's By The Bay is a fine dining restaurant that serves dinner Monday-Friday and brunch
and dinner Saturday and Sunday. We only are interested in being open past 11 pm on
Friday and Saturday night and plan to serve drinks and a limited bar menu form 1 Opm to
2am. We do not desire to become a nightclub with dancing and loud music, simply the
opportunity to keep our bar crowd later if we desire. Our main identity is a fine dining
restaurant first who simply desires to have the option to extend bar hours on weekend
nights.

Louie's By The Bay Security Plan
Number of Security Personnel-
There will be roughly 3 bartenders and bar-backs working late hours who are all trained on
responsible serving of alcohol. In addition, there are restaurant managers who have been trained to
deal with guests and can provide an authority figure in any altercations. The actual bar can seat
roughly 20 people but combined with community table areas in the bar the total seating can be
raised to as high as 40. When there are tables outside of the bar being serviced there is usually a
cocktail server trained in alcohol service waiting on them.
Qualifications-
All managers and bartenders are trained in proper alcohol serving principles and managers
are also further specialty trained in conflict resolution.
Basic Plan for Security-
Bar service will be similar to dinner hour service with bartenders serving the patrons sitting
at the bar and cocktail server(s) serving the guests seated in the bar area tables. Late night service
places extra scrutiny on bartenders and cocktail servers to maintain proper alcoholic serving
procedures and avoid overserving guests. A manager remains on duty to oversee the late night
service.
Plan for controlling noise overcrowding etc-
Employees and managers will do continuous checks of the exterior, patio, and bathrooms to
make sure that any loitering, excessive noise, or illicit activates are promptly ended and expelled
from our establishment. In addition we have a solid valet parking team that has great experience
since we share a valet and lot with our neighbor restaurant Billy's at the Beach.
