A request for a variance to demolish an existing retaining wall in the front setback adjacent to East
Coast Highway and construct a new 14-foot high retaining wall with an additional 6-foot high glass rail
above in the front setback. The original retaining wall was permitted through a modification permit
(MD3928) in 1991, which permitted an over-height wall within the front setback(see attached conditions
of approval).
