Newport Blvd). The existing restaurant is 1,876 sq. ft. interior, and 259 sq. ft. exterior. The proposed expansion is 730
sq.ft. interior,and 190 sq.ft. exterior(total 730 sq.ft.).
The applicant is requesting to extend the hours of operation to 7:00 a.m. to midnight for interior, daily, and 7:00 a.m. to
10:00 p.m. for the patio area, daily. The current use permit for the restaurant restricts the hours of operation from 9:00
a.m. to 11:00 p.m.for interior, daily, and 9:00 a.m.to 10:00 p.m.for the patio area, daily.
The current use permit allows a Type 41 ABC License (Beer and Wine). The applicant is requesting to operate with a
Type 47 ABC License (On-sale general, eating establishment). Additionally, the applicant is seeking to add live
entertainment for live acoustic music for Tuesday and Saturday nights. All acoustic music will be indoors, have a
maximum of three performers, and would not occur after 9:00 p.m. No dancing is requested. A coastal development
permit may be required depending on the parking requirements(to be determined).
