NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday,
March 19, 2020. at 6 :30 p.m. or soon thereaher as
the matter shall be heard, a publfc hearing will be
conduaed in the Council Chambers at 100 Civic
Center Drive, Newpo,t Beach. The Planning
Commission of the City or Newport Beach will
consider the following application:

A requMt to amend 1he currem ly effective Use
Permit in otder to change operational re-.trictions
for an existing restaurant. The applicant speclficaly
requests the following : (1 ) to change the allowed
hours of operation to 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., dally, with
alcohol servke not beginning until 11 a.m.; (2) to
allow a happy hour prior to 9 p.m.; (3) to allow 1he
sale of alcohol fOf off.site coosumption on a limited
basis with a Type 21 Alcoholic Beverage Control
(ABC) Lk ense; and (4) to allow limited Uve
enlertainment. If approved, lhis Condltional Use
Permit would supersede Use Permit No. UP3690 and
Outdoor Dining Permit No. 000032. Also, if
approved, the operator is required to obtain an
operator license from the Police Depanment
pursuant to Newport Beach Munldpal Code (NBMC)
Chapler S.25.

14 of the California Code of Regulations Section
1S301 , An.lcle 19 of Chapter 3, Guidelines for
Implementation of the California Enviroomental

All interested parties may appear and present
testimony in regard to this application. If you
challenge this project in court, you may be llmiled
to ra ising only those issues you raised at the public
hearing or in wri«en correspondence delivered to
the Cfty, al, or prtor to, the public hearing.
Administrative procedures fo r appeals are provided
in the NBMC Chapter 20.64 (Appeals). The
applica1ion may be continued to a specific future
meeting date, and if suc h an action occurs,

be provided.
The agenda, staff report, and corresponding
documents wilt be available by end of business day
on the Friday preceding the public hearing. and may
be reviewed at the Community Development
Department Permit Center (Bay C-tst Aoor), at 100
Civic Cent·ff Drive, Newpon Beach, CA 92660 or at
the Ci 1y of Newport Beach website at
www.newportbeachca.gov/planningcommission.
Individuals not able to anend the meeting may
