cond1.1cted in the Corona del Mar Conference Room
(Bay E-1st Floor) at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport
Beach . The Zoning Adminis trator of the City of
Newport Beach will consider the following
appl ication :
SoCol Cyclebo1U Boat Rll!ntal• A request for a
limited 1erm permit (more 1han 90 days) and
associated coastal development permit {C DP) to
allow 1he 1emporary operallon of a charter boa,
business with off-slte parking for up to one year. The
boat will be docked wilhin an existing slip accessible
hom 2406 Newport Boulevard. Hours or operation
are from 9 a.m.10 10 p.m. Parkin g is proposed to be
provided as five off-site spaces located at 2000 West
Ba lboa Boulevard, approximalely 0.2 miles from l he
dock site.
The project is categorically exempt under Sections
15301 and 15304, of the Slale CEQA (Ca li fornia
Environmenta l Qu•l ity Act) Guidelines -Cl•ss 1
(Existing Facilit ies) and Cla ss 4 (Minor Altera tions to
land), respectively.
All inlerested parties may appear and present
testimony in rega rd to this application . If you
challenge this project In court, you may be limi ted
to ra is ing only those issues you r•ised at the public
hearing or in written correspondence delivered to
the City, at. or prior to, the public hearing. The
applica tion may be cont inued to a specific future
meeting date, and if such an action occurs,
add icional public notice of the cont inuance will not
be provided . Administrat ive procedures for appeals
are provided in the Newpon Beach Mun icipal Code
Chapters 20.64 (A""eals) and 21.64 {Appeals and
Ca lls for Review). Fees are required to appeal any
final action on the appllcatlons 10 the Plann ing
Commission or City Council . The project site is
located within the appea l area of the coastal zone;
thererore, final action by the City to approve a
Coastal Development Permit may be appea led to
the Calfforn ia Coas tal Commission ,
