NO TICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Thursday,
February 13, 2020, at 3:00 p .m. or soon thereafter
as the matter shall be hea rd, a public hea ring will be
conducted in t he Corona del Mar Conference Room
(Bay E-lst Floo r) at 100 Civic Cen ter Drive, Newpon
Beach . The Zoni ng Admin istrator of the City of
Newpon Beach will consider the fo llowing
applic ation:
Richard Barrett Tru5t Seawall • A coasta l
development permit to allow t he ra ising of an
ex ist ing concrete seawall and construction of an
elevated deck In the fr on t se t back area a bulling t he
Newpon Bay. The project compl ies with all
applicable development standards an d no
deviations are requested .
The proj ect Is ca t egorically exempt under Sec ti on
15303 under Class 3 (New Construction or
Conve rsion of Small St ructures) of t he State CEQA
(Ca lifornia Environmental Quality Act) Gu idelines..
All Int erested parties may appear and present
testimony in regard to th is application. If you
challenge t his project In court, you may be limit ed
to ra ising only those issues you raised at t he pu blic
hea ri ng or in written correspond ence delivered to
the Ci t y, at, or prior to, the p;iblic hearing . The
applicat ion may be continued to a specific future
meeting date, and if such an action occurs,
ad ditional public notice of t he continuance will not
be provided. Adm inistrat ive procedu res for appea ls
are provided In the Newport Beach Municipal Code
Chapter 21.64 . Fees are requ ired to appeal any final
ac t ion on a Coastal Develo pment Permit to the
Plann ing Comm ission or City Counci l. The project
site is loca ted wit hin the appeal area of the coas tal
zone; therefore, fi nal act ion by the Oty to ap prove a
Coastal Development Permit may be appealed to
the California Coastal Comm ission.
The agenda, staff repon, and correspond ing
document s will be available by end of business day
on the Friday preced ing t he public hearing, and may
be reviewed at the Commu nity Development
Department Pe,mi t Center (Bay C-lsl Floor ), at 100
Ci vic Center Drive, Newpon Beach, CA 92660 or at
