The following documentation is required to complete the application: 1. Project Description and Justification. Please update the project description to include more information regarding the following: o Crew Please confirm the number of crew per cruise (i.e. 1 captain and are there any other crew members per cruise?) o Storage Where will the yacht be docked when it is not in operation? o Duration The limited term permit has a duration of up to one year. Please include an anticipated and/or desired start date. 2. Parking Survey. December 9, 2020 PA2020-327 Page 2 Tmplt. 10/23/2018 o Provide a letter on Balboa Bay Club letterhead guaranteeing the reservation of parking spots for Quietplace Marine’s charter operation. See the attached letter from PA2020-022 as an example. o The parking survey was conducted during extraordinary circumstances (i.e. the COVID-19 pandemic) where many types of events, gatherings, and indoor uses were prohibited per state order. Please have the Balboa Bay Club provide a description of what uses were happening during the parking survey (i.e. was the restaurant and bar functioning, were other marine charters operating, what was the occupancy rate for the hotel, etc.) and please have the Balboa Bay Club projection how those numbers will increase in 2021 and state if any absent uses will be returning in 2021. 3. Project Plans. Please provide an aerial image (such google maps) or a site plan that identifies which slip is being used for the charter boat operation. A project review request has been completed by the Real Property and Assets Management division as The City is the property owner of 1221 West Coast Highway. It is attached Upon verification of completion, the application will be processed and scheduled for a Zoning Administrator Hearing. We will allow Orange County Charters one boat the 2005 Tiara 3600 Open named Tranquilo to pick up and drop off up to 12 passengers and a Captain and crew member at our facility. We have done this before for other charter boats for their City Marine Activities Permit. Our parking lot is on our property as is our dedicated boat dock for boat pick-ups and drop offs. There will always be available up to five (5) car parking spots for this purpose for Tranquilo at our parking structure. Tranquilo's guests can use our parking whenever we are open. Our parking operates and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our parking lot is extremely secure and safe. We have 24/7 security 365 days a year.
