HomeMy WebLinkAboutMASTER PLAN AMENDMENT # 5 THB:mec 1/23/63 4` RESOLUTION NO. 659 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE MASTER LAND USE PLAN WHEREAS, the, Planning Commission and the City Council have heretofore adopted a Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach, i which said Master Plan includes as a unit thereof a Master Land Use Plan, adopted by the City Council on January 13., 1958, and subse- quently amended; and WHEREAS, changed conditions and further studies by the Planning Commission indicate that the Master Land Use Plan should p . be amended in the following respects: (1) To reclassify the area located north of Palisades Road between MacArthur Boulevard and Acacia Street from a Single Family Residential classification to an Industrial Park classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; 2 To reclassify the area located north of West Coast ( ) Y Highway and east of the Santa Ana River, shown as Tract 772 on a final subdivision map recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, from an R 3 Multiple Residential classification to a Single Family Residential classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; and (3) To reclassify the area between West Coast 'Highway and Newport Harbor, bounded on the west by the County Dock property and on the east by the Balboa Bay Club property, from a C-2 Commercial classification to a C-O-Z Commercial classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; and WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing in conformity with the requirements of Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 8, of the F Government Code of the State of California, the Planning Commis- sion has reviewed said amendments to the Master Land Use Plan as such amendments are designated on the attached map entitled "Master Land Use Plan, City of Newport Beach, California" , dated January 17, 1963; R NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis- sion of the City of Newport Beach does adopt said amendments to the Master Land Use Plan in accordance with the map attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Commission be directed to certify and transmit said amended Master Land Use Plan to the Council of the City of Newport Beach for consideration and adoption. Regularly passed and adopted by the Planning Commission of the City of Newport Beach, State of California, on, the 17th day of January, 1963. THS:mec • 1/23/63 RESOLUTION NOo 659 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE MASTER LAND USE PLAN WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council have heretofore adopted a Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach, which said Master Plan includes as a unit thereof a Master Land Use Plan, adopted by the City Council on January 13, 1958, and subse- quently amended; and WHEREAS, changed conditions and further studies by the Planning Commission indicate that the Master Land Use Plan should be amended in the following respects: (1) To reclassify the area located north of Palisades Road between MacArthur Boulevard and Acacia Street from a Single Family Residential classification to an Industrial Park classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; (2) To reclassify the area located north of West Coast Highway and east of the Santa Ana River, shown as Tract 772 on a final subdivision map recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, from, an R-3 Multiple Residential classification to a Single Family Residential classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; and (3) To reclassify the area between West Coast 'Highway and Newport Harbor, bounded on the west by the County Dock property and on the east by the Balboa Bay Club property, from a C-2 Commercial classification to a C-0-2 Commercial classification, as shown on the map attached hereto; and WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing in conformity with the requirements of Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 8, of the Government Code of the State of California, the Planning Commis- sion has reviewed said amendments to the Master Land Use Plan as such amendments are designated on the attached map entitled "Master Land Use Plan, City of Newport Beach, California" , dated January 17, 1963; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis- sion of the City of Newport Beach does adopt said amendments to the Master Land Use Plan in accordance with the map attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Commission be directed to certify and transmit said amended Master Land Use Plan to the Council of the City of Newport Beach for consideration and adoption.
