A new drawing has been prepared by Public Works which more accurately shows the realignment of Newport Boulevard from 23rd to 30th Streets as Precise Plan No. 5. The attached resolution, if adopted, would substitute the new drawing for Drawing No. 126-2931 referred to in Resolution No. 5236. Walter Charamza WWC:mec City Attorney Encs. cc - City Manager Director of Public Works Planning Director R E c / 3Uid is" � ce( ✓ 4��+ CITY 01+ILL{}/'ultT AEACS Y JHR:hh 5/16/60 �DpNC1l: Lo RESOLUTION NO. 650 D\S4DSI�;OG A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF pl�y3L• NEWPORT BEACH RECOMMENDING PRECISE PLAN NO. 5 Flo WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach have heretofore adopted a Master Plan for land use, streets and highways and parks and recreation; and WHEREAS, it now appears that precise plans with respect to planned rights-of-way are required for the systematic execution of the Master Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, by its Resolution No. 649, adopted on April 7, 1960, had recommended to the City Council a certain plan for adoption as Precise Plan No. 5 of the Street and Highway unit of the Master Plan, reference to which said Resolution being made for the •particulars thereof; and WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that the plan recommended in said Resolution is economically impossible for the City to achieve presently, and has requested the- Planning Commission to review alternate plans �,or adoption as Precise_Plau No. 5; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission has reviewed such alternate plans, has reviewed Drawing No. 126-2931 on file in the office of the City Engineer, and approved the realignment of Newport Boulevard between 23rd and 30th Streets in accordance with Plan "C" as shown on said drawing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Newport Beach that Plan "C" as shown on Drawing No. 126-2931 on file in the office of the City Engineer be recommended to the City Council as an alternate plan for adoption as Precise Plan No. 5 of the Street and Highway unit of the Master Plan for the realignment of Newport Boulevard between 23rd and 30th Streets; that said recommendation of Plan "C" does not include any recommendation as to the rezoning of abutting properties or as to street pattern for any new local streets shown on said Plan "C".
