Residential Project To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to you regarding the proposed rezoning to make room for a new residential site near Ford Rd. Foremost, I’m unclear why there is a need to rezone this property for residential units? In addition I’m reading through many e-mails in the Port Street e-mail thread and the following concerns echo mine as well ~ 1. Safety issues with regard to vehicles coming and going from the new residential area. 2. More noise than was there before as currently this zoning does not call for high density housing. 3. Lack of clarity with regard to what actually will be developed on this property (ie apartments or condos) 4. Appears to be an insufficient amount of parking available for residents and guests, which will ultimately lead to street parking. 5. I’m also reading that the developer is saying this project will help the community by not having to look at the "unattractive & unsightly" AT&T building? I’m quite sure we’d rather look at that then look at another development of condos/apartments. I’m very opposed to moving forward with this project, certainly not until there has been more research done on the impact of this proposal to our community. I know I’m not alone in my concerns, thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration on this issue. Pam Conner 1961 Port Provence Pl. Newport Beach, CA 92660
