Subject: 4302 Ford Road Project CONCERNS TO the community, safety and
traffic
Hello Mr. Zdeba,
I am writing to you with my huge concerns about the proposed 4302 Ford
Road housing project.
An increase of residences, construction, maintenance, deliveries and any
other person that is summoned to this facility causes more traffic hazards
hands down to an already congested location for public use of the sports
parks and recreational parks. Not to mention the people walking along side
the traffic. The end of Ford Road where this proposed residence wants to be
located is already crushed with traffic for public use.
Besides the revolving traffic issues and hazards we currently have, it doesn't
include the excessive back up of cars on all the intersections nearby during
rush hour for work and school.
Not to mention the amount of trash that will be left behind
in the environment, I'm constantly picking up trash during
walks and have been for years.
Not including the increased air pollution and smell and
noise of construction vehicles during the exhausting
process of building. Even when construction is done,
there will be an increase of vehicles that cause air
pollution, excessive vehicle noise and exhaust from
residents, deliveries, moving trucks, maintenance
vehicles, etc.
Currently we experience an excessive amount of traffic for the parks and
sports fields all during the week and heavily on the weekends. The additional
visitors park illegally, drive erratically, and double park causing hazardous
conditions for other cars and all people, residents and children walking along
Ford Road. Not to mention the trash they leave behind.
Additionally, the traffic and congestion that we experience daily for exiting and
entering neighborhood is horrible and backed up every morning and
afternoon. The traffic also includes all communities that use the Pavilions for
their groceries and the shops in the center. The increased vehicle smells can
be downright awful from all the cars and maintenance vehicles sitting and
waiting for their turn at the light. Not to mention those not paying attention
and causing hazardous conditions for people walking along Ford road and
other drivers.
Adding an additional housing community adds more people and more cars
that will create additional hazardous conditions to our traffic and
environment and include - but not limited to:
air pollution
more vehicle noise
more light noise
more delivery truck noise
more parking congestion
more traffic confusion and congestion
more people to leave trash in our parks, streets and walkways
more emergency vehicle traffic/noise
air conditioning noise
more maintenance vehicle noise and congestion
more hazardous drivers for people walking, exercising, sports, and
enjoying their children at the parks to be cautious of
more double parking
more vehicle exhaust
more noise from vehicles playing loud music
more noise from any parties or events at the proposed facility
more moving truck noise
Increased yard maintenance noise (lawnmowers, leaf blowers, weed
wackers, chainsaws etc)
more barking dogs
more dog feces left behind from forgetful owners
more traffic congestion along all of Ford Road, Ford Road/Mesa View
Drive intersection, Ford Road/Prairie Road intersection and
McCarthur/Bonita Canyon intersection.
The 4302 Ford Road Housing Project is not an ideal location to add more
human and vehicle traffic and environmental congestion to a location that
already receives thousands of public visitors for sports events, recreational
activities and park parties. We already have hazardous traffic conditions with
what we currently have and it doesn't need more. This project would be
perfect for a run down part of the city that needs to be rehabilitated to improve
our city, not tear down trees and natural habitats for current animals and ugly
up the little nature we have. Please.
The concerns for hazards, congestion and our environment is similar to the
OCMA Property concerns and should be treated similarly. We don't look after
our environment as much as we should and we NEED to take more action to
feed our environment with nature not with more building materials, trash,
people, and air pollution.
Signed from a very concerned resident who wants to keep more natural
environments and habitats for our earth that feeds our bodies.
