Subject: PA2017-228 Ford Road Residences
Dear Mr. Herdman, Mr. Zdeba and Planning Commissioners
I spoke at last nights Planning Commission meeting and I wanted to follow up with this email to express
my concerns about the proposed Ford Road Residences. We don’t need to develop every last little bit of
undeveloped land in the City! Please vote No on this proposal. We need our open spaces and
parks. We need to protect our valuable resources.
Per the City’s own General Plan Environmental Impact Report, The City has a deficit of parks of almost
40 acres (see Table 4.12-1 – Parkland Acreages in the City General Plan EIR update) so adding residents
will contribute to the deficit. The City’s policy is to have 5 acres of park per 1,000 residents so approving
this project would contribute to a violation of the City Policy
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Craig Gordon
