Dear Mr. Zdeba:
I am opposed to the 21-unit condo development project for safety and traffic reasons. This proposed
project impedes upon the use and enjoyment of the surrounding park areas. The current single “one-
way” egress/ingress does not allow for service vehicles to”pull-through”; rather the vehicles are forced
to back-up for exit purposes causing a potential safety issue for kids and adults utilizing the shared
sidewalk. There is also a noise factor with trucks with their “warning bells” sounding while backing up,
disrupting the peace. Traffic will undoubtedly be more impacted than it is today with additional
residents and their vehicles. In addition, the native species of plants and animals, some which may
already be extinct or in danger that live in that space, will be displaced and forced to migrate elsewhere.
The existing and unsecured AT&T station is plastered with “Hazardous Waste” signs, including potential
lead exposure, which also pose a great safety concern.
I am requesting a full Environmental Impact Report be required before Hines be allowed to move
forward. I am also requesting Hines to reconfigure their entry/exit point from a single driveway to
multiple driveways for safety reasons and consider downsizing the number of units in this 1.06 acre
cramped space to incorporate these safety features appropriately.
Respectfully,
Robin Nasser
