Subject: Concern for Safety. Ford Road proposed condos
Ben,
My husband and I ride bikes through the Bonita Canyon Sports Park en route to high school
events, dinner and the beach. Additionally, hundreds of kids enjoy the safety of a park on a dead
end street with surrounding trees and wildlife. My elderly parents also enjoy walking from our
Portstreet home to the park and back for exercise.
The addition of condos would remove the park setting and instead create traffic, congestion and
accidents at the exit of the proposed condos onto Ford Road. Cars exiting the proposed condos
would enter a road used by so many for walking, running and biking, not to mention the merge
of other cars exiting the portstreets with traffic concerns as the cars merge together on Ford
Road.
We have such a beautiful, open and warm community within the portstreets and additional traffic
entering the small street will be a safety concern we would not like to have in our
community. This park is the ONLY park with adult options in the area, from pickle ball and
tennis, to picnic tables in the open space. It is an area we love to use as we enjoy our local
community.
Please consider all of us and our use of the park and vote NO on the proposed condos.
Thank you,
Anita Keasey
