Ben Zbeda
City Planning Commission
Dear Mr. Zbeda:
Regarding the 21 unit housing building project and as a Port Street resident, I agree and want to
express my concern over this new proposed building project at 4302 Ford Road in Newport
Beach. I think it would impair use and enjoyment of the park permanently. The added
congestion is in itself a safety hazard with the configuration of the building and lack of
parking. More importantly, aside from the safety concerns, the community needs more open
space and parks. If the units are going to be three stories, that is totally inconsistent with the
height that currently exists in our neighborhood. It is of concern whether the developer is acting
in good faith as the decision has not been revealed to the city or the public as to whether to build
apartments or condominiums.
I object to the construction of this project.
Very truly yours,
J. Michael Hughes
