Subject: Condo Development on Ford Road
To whom it may concern:
As Port Streets residents with for 4 children we strongly object to the condo development on
Ford Road adjacent to Bonita Canyon Sports Park.
The developer claims to have ample “tandem” underground parking, meaning residents get 1
long, skinny parking space with 1 entrance/exit in which to park 2 cars. Google says car juggling
is extremely unpopular and inconvenient and people go to great lengths to avoid using it. The
project’s own renderings illustrate how the adjacent above-ground city parking spaces will be a
much more convenient option for the use of the residents, guests, teen drivers, adult children
living at home, housekeepers, nannies, tutors, music teachers, delivery personnel, auto detailers
and other support staff members for each unit and for the complex.
All of these cars will be bottle-necked at the end of Ford Road and the Bonita Canyon Sports
Park.
We think this added traffic is extremely dangerous to all users of the sports park, but especially
for children as they pour in and out of their family vehicles other way to birthday parties, the tot
lot, soccer games and practices on the city facilities!!
Best regards,
Kerstin & Wolfgang Schmitt
