Benjamin,
When riding by this location with my kids yesterday, I stopped to check out what is being proposed and
it is absolutely crazy to think that anyone would even consider the design of this property. The safety
concerns are off the charts and it would just have such a negative impact on the neighborhood
altogether.
I really hope this is going through the correct channels and that the developer isn’t getting preferential
treatment as I feel certain that it won’t be approved if it is.

Thank you for taking the time to write. I am confirming reception and appreciate your
thoughtful comments. I will keep your email as part of the public record and will attach
it to the Planning Commission staff report as correspondence received when this project
goes for public hearing.
There was a Planning Commission study session held Thursday last week to introduce
the project to the Commissioners and the public. The agenda packet and a video
recording are available here. The environmental document for the project is available
here.
Moving forward, there will be a public hearing with the Planning Commission wherein
action will be taken on the project. From there, this project will still require two more
public hearings: one with the John Wayne Airport Land Use Commission and ultimately
one with the City Council where a final action will be rendered.
On that note, I will add your email address to the interest list, so I can keep you
informed as to when any upcoming hearings are going to occur.

Benjamin,
I am a Port Streets resident and I frequently spend time at the park and riding along the
bike paths with my 6 year old and 3 year old.
I have recently been made aware of this proposed residential development and many of
its safety concerns.
I am also wondering if the zoning for the property would allow residents to attend
Andersen School and if so, how will the school be able to accommodate the extra
residents as I don’t believe there are enough spare classrooms and the classroom sizes
appear to already be close to maximum.
Can you please share any information you have regarding this project incl. when you will
be meeting next to review it.
