Subject:RE: Separate Utilities for each Unit requirement - Waiver
Steffen,
Per our conversation yesterday please see below for the questions posed by IRWD for the city. I had previously provided these
questions with a previous submittal but it sounds like you did not receive them. Please let me know if you feel a meeting is
necessary with IRWD to resolve these questions or provide your response so I can provide those to IRWD.
From Belisario Rios (IRWD Engineer, Development Services):
“Steve,
We had a quick meeting here internally, and we would be ok with moving forward with your option 2 to tap off of the City's RW
service line. What I think needs to happen, is a meeting between IRWD, Developer, City and Psomas to discuss the next steps:
1. Is the City ok with IRWD providing RW service to a customer within the City's service area? We can enter into an out of
service area agreement with the City if we proceed.
2. Is the City ok with the developer's connection teeing off of their existing service line? This would mean being shut-down
during installation and also any future repairs to either meter would mean shutting both down. Additionally, there's the
concern about capacity. If the City does not agree, you would have to cut-in your own service and meter to the mainline.”
Belisario can be reached at the below contact information should you need to discuss with him:
