PA2019-084 ADDRESS: 3404 & 3406 VIA LIDO CORRECTION DATE: 06/20/2019 CORRECTIONS: 2ND REVIEW 1) PRIMARY FRONTAGE - Max allowable sq. ft. for primary frontage is 60 sq. ft. (see TABLE 3-16 of muni code 20.42.070 Standards for Permanent Signs.) • 20.42.080 Standards for Specific Types of Permanent Signs. Subsection 6: Signs shall be located within the middle fifty (50) percent of the building or tenant frontage measured from lease line to lease line. The Director may waive this requirement where it can be clearly demonstrated that it severely limits proper sign placement. Current placement of signs is 100% of frontage. 2) SECONDARY FRONTAGE - Max allowable sq. ft. for secondary frontage is 50% of sign area allowed for primary frontage i.e. 30 sq. ft. • Total sq. ft. for all signs on secondary frontage exceeds 30 sq. ft. • 20.42.080 Standards for Specific Types of Permanent Signs. Subsection A. 1. Lettering, logos, symbols, and graphics are allowed on up to fifty (50) percent of the area of a shed (slope) portion of the awning and valance portion of the awning. Signs shall be applied flat against the awning surface. In the case of a barrel shaped (curved) awning, signs shall not occupy more than sixty (60) percent of the bottom twelve (12) inches of the awning. Current placement of signs is 100% of awning. 3) DIRECTORIES - Exceeds size requirements for multi-tenant business directories (8 sq. ft.). Verify dimensions.
