NEWPORT BEACH ZONING ADMINISTRATOR MINUTES 100 CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, NEWPORT BEACH CORONA DEL MAR CONFERENCE ROOM, BAY 1E THURSDAY, JUNE 25, 2020
REGULAR MEETING – 10:00 A.M.
I. CALL TO ORDER – The meeting was called to order at 10:02 a.m.
Staff Present: Jaime Murillo, Zoning Administrator Liane Schuller, Planning Consultant II. REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCES
The Zoning Administrator reported that staff requested Item Number 3 to be removed from calendar and will be re-noticed appropriately. III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES ITEM NO. 1 MINUTES OF JUNE 11, 2020 Action: Approved
IV. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS ITEM NO. 2 712 Iris LLC Condominiums Tentative Parcel Map No. NP2020-004 (PA2020-059) Site Location: 712 and 712 1/2 Iris Avenue Council District 6
The Zoning Administrator introduced the project explaining request for a tentative parcel map for two-unit condominium purposes. A duplex will be demolished and a new duplex is currently in the building permit
review process. No waivers of Title 19 (Subdivisions) are proposed. The Tentative Parcel Map would allow each unit to be sold individually. He mentioned he recieved advanced notice that the applicant, Glen
Gwatney of Anacal Engineering, on behalf of the 712 Iris, LLC, had reviewed the draft resolution and agreed with all of the required conditions.
The Zoning Administrator explained that written comments were received from Mr. Jim Mosher. The following
edits will be made to the resolution: update reference to the meeting location, update Condition No. 12 to clarify that the easement is existing and the existing easement will be maintained and widened, and add a condition
stating that that prior to recordation of the parcel map, the existing duplex shall be demolished.
The Zoning Administrator opened the public hearing. Seeing that no one from the public wished to comment, the public hearing was closed. Action: Approved as amended
