Districts must be "fair and logical"
Districts must provide "contiguous and compact territories'

• Up to Three (3) Members from the City Council
• Brown Act Committee - Public Notice and Agenda
• Committee will Review Census 2020 Data Results and
Redistricting Mapping Options
• Consider Public Input
• Report Recommended Map(s) back to City Council for
Final Adoption

Requirements
• Adopt New Maps by April 15, 2022
• Four (4) Public Hearings
• One Prior to Draft Map(s) Release
• Two After Draft Map(s) Released
• One Held on the Weekends (Sat/Sun) or after 6 PM Monday
through Friday
• Public Hearing must take place at the time it is noticed
• Redistricting Ad -Hoc Committee can count towards the
required Public Hearings
