The project plans were reviewed for compliance with the following codes and standards:
2019 CBC; 2019 CRC; 2019 CPC; 2019 CEC; 2019 CMC; 2019 California Energy Code; 2019 California
Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen); and Chapter 15 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
(NBMC).
GENERAL:
Obtain approval from the following:
a. Building Division
b. Planning Division
5. For duplexes and townhouses provide the following and identify on the plan:
a. Floors and walls separating dwelling units in the some building shall not be of less than 1 -
hour fire -resistive rated construction. R302.3
b. Provide sound transmission ratings (STC) not less than STC 50.
2"" Review: Provide plan check number and permit number where the detail 1B came from. Note
that if there are no approved drawings, provide new detail and detail shall comply fora and b above
for fire and sound rating. Remove the note a and b on the plan, plans need to show compliance not
a note.
