SUBJECT: MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FY 1981-82
The City Negotiating Team has reached an agreement with the Newport
Beach Police Employees Association. The agreement can be summarized
as follows:
1. Total Compensation Increase:
A. Sworn employees - 12.08
B. Non -sworn employees - 9.58
2. Inclusive in the Total Compensation increase, the
City will pay the employee's PERS contribution as
follows:
A. Sworn employees - 4.5%
B. Non -sworn employees - 3.5%
3. Prudential Health Insurance Maximum Major Medical
Benefit increased at no cost to the City from
$250,000 to $1,000,000.

SUBJECT: NON -SWORN POLICE EMPLOYEES
During meet -and -confer sessions between the City Negotiating
Team and the Newport Beach Police Employees Association for FY 81-82,
the City agreed to incorporate in the Personnel Policies Resolution
the..following for non -sworn police personnel:
Provide additional holiday leave:
a. Christmas Eve - last half of working day
b. New Year's Eve - last half of working day
C. Floating Holiday - emplo+/yeee's birthday
