AsseClag57t for Fiscal Year 1984/85, the City agreed to ''reopen
the contract for the purpose of meeting -and -conferring on the
issues establishing of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and.
of modifying the current Health Insurance Plan and providing a
Retiree Health Insurance Plan.
Discussion: Since October 1, 1984, the City negotiating team
amd representatives of the Police Association have met -and -
conferred on these issues. Both negotiating teams have reached
agreement and the agreement was presented to and ratified by the
membership of the Police Association. In the opinion of City
•staff, the agreement is in accordance with City Council
direction.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the attached signed
amendment to the Fiscal Year 1984/85 Memorandum of Understanding
with the Police Association be approved by City Council.
