5. Soils engineer is to provide continuous observation during replacement and compaction of foundation
soils where voids occur (1) at locations of 'push pier' brackets, and (2) beneath continuous building
footings where `push pier' contractor was able to raise foundations off of bearing soils. Where it is not
possible to fill voids with compacted earth, soils engineer is to provide recommendations for alternative
method such as pressure grouting with cement slurry, etc.
