Application No. Faerber Residence Addition (PA2020-029)
Address 405 Cortes Circle
Please see responses in red:
1. The Elevation Views indicate an upper level Craft Room addition and lower
level Master Bedroom addition are proposed, in addition to the enclosure of
the two existing bedroom decks. Please show the full scope of work on the Site,
Floor and Elevation plans. Clearly indicate the location of all proposed work in
relationship to the Stringline Setback.
The upper level “craft room” and the lower level Master Bedroom addition
were removed from the “scope of work”. Drafting errors left the notes on
the elevations. The notes have been removed.
The two bedroom deck infills are the scope of the work.
These areas of work are clearly depicted on sheets A-2, A-3, A-4 & A-5.
2. With regard to the two bedroom decks to be enclosed, please describe how
these decks are currently enclosed and/or roofed (i.e. guard rail, rail height,
partially enclosed, roofed or open to sky).
The decks are not enclosed. They have 36” high guard rails. Deck at main
level is directly over deck at lower level and will become the “roof” of the
deck below. The deck at the main level will be “roofed” over.
3. The South and North Elevation Views include various cross-hatching/shading; it
is not clear what all of these represent. Please provide a legend clarifying all
drafting symbols.
The cross hatching for the shadows have been removed on West and North
elevations, Sheets A-6 & A-7. Cross hatch for area of work has remained.
