on activities during the past year to address homelessness and housing availability in
the County. Newport Beach is a member of the Trust.

Part 1 (violent) crimes and arrest data for the year.
The regular session begins at 5:30 p.m., with the following items of note:
Public Hearings:
The Council will consider amendments to the City's municipal code related to
Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). The amendments would modify municipal code
changes previously adopted by the Council, based on suggestions from the
California Coastal Commission for properties located in the coastal zone. The
proposed ordinances would incorporate the Commission's modifications into the
City's Coastal Land Use Plan. The City's own efforts to encourage the development
of additional ADUs to help meet state -mandated housing goals will require future
changes to the City's regulations. These changes are being developed with the
assistance of a Planning Commission ad hoc committee.
