SANTA ANA—Directors of the
newly formed Orange County Tfan-
sit District gave preliminary appro-
val Monday for an $800,000 budget
to cover the district's first full year
of operations.
The budget calls for a countywide
2 -cent tax rate and provides for two
employes --tea director at $20,000 to
S30,000 yearly and a secretary at $9,-
000.
A total of $687,000 was set aside
for "Transit District Obiectives." in-
