Based on area and use detached dining area qualifies as an A-2 occupancy (CBC 303.2, Table 1004.5). 2. Fire Department approval is required, including for roof covering material. 3. Aisle widths are required to comply with CBC 1029.9, 1029.12, 1029.13 and 11B-403.5.1(4). 4. Number of required restroom facilities according to CPC 422 shall be based on total number of occupants considering those in main restaurant building and in detached dining area. 5. Structural design for detached dining area structure is required according to CBC Chapter 16, including design for wind and seismic loads. 6. Disabled accessible routes are required from detached dining area to restrooms in main restaurant building and disabled accessible parking spaces (CBC 11B-206.2).
